Description
This manuscript builds off the Pliny the Elder's Naturalis Historia, a text that contains formularies that consist of herbs. Leoniceno argues and comments that many of the herbs discussed in Pliny's text are inaccurate of its actual use and identification. He also builds on many of the mistakes noted of Pliny's materia medica, by incoporating his own medicinal recipes
